Blackening

Blackening is a post heat treatment process for materials. The purpose is mainly for aesthetic appearance and to add a mild corrosion resistance layer.  The black oxide layer from the blackening process is magnetite (Fe3O4), which is more mechanically stable on the surface, providing the mild corrosion resistance.

Maximum Sizes & Capacity

 

  • Widest - 880 mm width x 460 mm height
  • Highest - 860 mm width x 650 mm height
  • Up to 800 KG maximum load

Allow 48 hours, however extraordinarily large jobs may take longer.
